Investors
Berkeley’s investment case and shareholder returns framework is set out in its investor update for Summer 2024, alongside its current strategy positioning and capital allocation policy.
Purpose Driven Business
Our passion and purpose is to build quality homes, strengthen local communities and make a positive difference to people’s lives.
Long-term Regeneration at Scale
Our focus is on large-scale, capital intensive brownfield regeneration projects. We unlock challenging and complex sites over the long-term, bringing well-located land back into community use and realising its potential for added value returns through the housing market cycles. Berkeley is the only UK residential developer regenerating brownfield land at scale.
Financial Discipline
We recognise the cyclical nature of the housing market and the high operating risk of our complex, long-term developments and therefore keep financial risk low at all times. We prioritise financial strength ahead of annual profits. This enables Berkeley to invest, both in new land and in our sites, at the right time in the cycle.
Shareholder Returns
We have a strong track record of generating sustainable returns for shareholders, with annual returns committed through to 2025.

Warning to Shareholders: Share, Bond, Investment and Boiler Room Scams
The Company is aware of the practice of share, bond and boiler room scams, whereby listed company shareholders may be contacted by “brokers” from overseas offering very high prices for their shares in the Company. These offers are a form of Boiler Room scam as discussed on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) website.
We would advise Shareholders not to engage in discussions with these "brokers" and to report any such activity to the FCA by completing an online form available at the FCA website.
Berkeley Group only raises finance through conventional methods such as the High Street Banks, Bonds listed on the London Stock Exchange or share issues listed on and governed by the London Stock Exchange.
In March 2022 the Company was advised of a scam whereby parties (theberkeleygroup@contractor.net and Berkeley-group@design-for-life.org), are purporting to be the Berkeley Group, and offering a fixed income investment opportunity associated with activities in connection with Berkeley Group and HS2. For the avoidance of doubt this is a scam and not in any way related to the Berkeley Group. You should report receipt of such correspondence to the FCA, using the above link.
